Erik Theelen is medeoprichter van Hide and Seek. Voor Hide and Seek werkte Erik tweeënhalf jaar bij Google op het Europese hoofdkantoor in Dublin als Sr. Account Strategist. Bij Google werkte Erik nauw samen met nieuwe high potential klanten uit de Benelux, om samen hun marketingdoelstellingen te bereiken met behulp van Google AdWords en andere producten van Google. Door het werken met een gevarieerd portfolio aan klanten met uiteenlopende doelstellingen heeft Erik een brede kennis opgebouwd. Zijn specialismen zijn Google AdWords (Search, Display, Mobile en YouTube) en Google Analytics. Daarnaast heeft hij ervaring opgedaan in SEO en Website Optimalisatie. Voor Google werkte Erik eerder bij Philips Consumer Lifestyle als Marketeer en bij Apple Retail. Hij studeerde Marketing Management aan de Universiteit van Tilburg. Late 2013 Erik came with the idea to start an advertising agency. During our time at Google we both worked with many different online agencies, but not one worked in a way that we considered top-notch. So why not do it ourselves? I did not need to think long and now it is already more than five years later. Within Hide and Seek I focus on the organization of our team, I keep myself busy with new customers, I maintain relationships with existing customers and I also now and then manage a campaign myself. Every day finding new and better ways to reach our customers’ audiences continuous to fascinate me. Playing the game and outsmart competition. But certainly, also knowing out customers through and through, ensuring a great relationship for both sides and thus being strong together. This is what makes me tick and gives me the energy to every day push ourselves to be even better. All of this together with our great team, which I am very proud of.

I grew up in a 'small' city near Rotterdam. After studying in Utrecht for a while, I started and finished my Media study in Rotterdam. During my study, I became active in organising events and working as a self-employed marketer. After finishing my study I worked on several marketing positions at different companies before fully focussing on online marketing.
After working at several companies I wanted to work at the agency side of digital marketing, so I could have a diverse portfolio of clients and work on multiple projects. In March 2016 I started working at Hide and Seek in Amsterdam and I enjoyed it ever since.
When I am not working I enjoy good food and drinks and having fun with friends, listening to music, going to the cinema and playing some occasional sports.

In december 2018, I joined the young and enthusiastic team of Hide and Seek. As account manager I am loving all the online marketing aspects. At Hide and Seek I can learn a lot about this, and I find this very fun and interesting.
Besides Hide and seek I am playing in a handball team as a goalkeeper. I am also passionate about traveling and love to take pictures of the architecture and the culture. If I would get the opportunity to make my dreams come true, I would go to Australia. I would love to see the nature and to spot the kangaroos.

I’ve been born and raised in Watergraafsmeer in Amsterdam. Since June 2020 I’ve been working at Hide and Seek. Here, I’m responsible for all finance and office management related tasks. What makes working at Hide and Seek fun for me must be the great colleagues I get to work with every day. Because of this, it doesn’t really feel like work. Financial accounting often sounds like a punishment to people, it definitely does not to me. I enjoy to fiddle with numbers! In 2019 I graduated in Communications & Multimedia Design from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Because my affinity in graphic design, I every now and then am working as a freelance webdesigner.
In my spare time I enjoy to visit record stores or plant shops, on the hunt for new treasures. Also I love to sip on a good glass of wine on my balcony with friends. I really enjoy the outdoors as well. Once a year, I go on a hiking trip in the middle of nowhere together with my sister and parents.

Hi there! I am Caitlin and I think it is safe to call myself a real Amsterdammer by now. When I grew up in Haarlemmermeer, I found my way to the capital city quite often. There was no doubt that I would eventually study and live here (7 years already and I am not planning to leave anytime soon!). My passion for online marketing started growing during my Master studies in Persuasive Communication. At first I thought that social media and content were my cup of tea. After a year and half of working on the client side of marketing, I noticed I was more drawn to data insights and figures. Where better to start a career in this than at an online agency with a broad range of clients? That's exactly how I ended up at Hide and Seek in October 2020, as a Google Ads specialist. Most of my spare time is dedicated to sports. You can find me on a hockey field no less than 4 times a week, where I am playing as a goalkeeper. Besides playing hockey, I like to maintain my cardio and strength during Crossfit. On weekends I like to visit a club or festival, cook for my friends and I try to travel at least once a year to a destination far far away. A little sidenote: you can wake me for banana pancakes 24/7!

Since January 2021 I have been working with the driven, enthusiastic team of Hide and Seek. Together we work on challenging projects and goals, each of which is brought to success in a unique way.

In my years before I started at Hide and Seek, I had the opportunity to work on various projects for artists and events. I have seen and experienced a lot; the perfect school. I can now implement all that knowledge and experience perfectly for the various accounts of Hide and Seek.

You can find me on the fairway in my spare time, if all goes well. Just like our campaigns, I also try to score hole-in-ones on the golf course. Furthermore, I am a true Burgundian, who loves good food and drinks with good company.

Being creative is one of my biggest hobbies; I make electronic music and often go out with a photo camera. Come to think of it, that right hemisphere is actually working quite a bit of overtime. Fortunately, I can always find new inspiration in Amsterdam by visiting a museum or event, or by simply cycling through the beautiful city to the Hide and Seek headquarters.

My name is Jennifer and I have been working in the online marketing field for quite a while now. Starting as student in psychology, I surprisingly ended up with a Master in marketing. When I started working for Hide and Seek, I was a trainee and quickly became a 'regular' employee. I've had a short intermission at another agency, but rapidly realised I missed the old nest and returned to Hide and Seek. I have a specialisation in social media advertising and I find combining creativity with data the most fun part of my job. This reflects on my personality as well: my interest vary from playing the violin to acting and from painting (Bob Ross) paintings to writing. I often tend to loose myself in True Crime documentaries and I love to get to the bottom of silly facts. Of course I also enjoy the good things in life like fine dining, clubbing and travelling.

Hey! My name is Jeroen, born and raised in Amsterdam B, also known as Almere. In the beginning of my study years I moved to Amsterdam, about 6 years ago. I like to keep myself busy with all kinds of side projects, for example, I recently bought a boat with a friend. The goal is to make it completely ready so we can sail through the canals of Amsterdam. At Hide and Seek I am involved in SEO. I will continue to develop this function so we can better serve our customers. I get a lot of energy from satisfied and happy people around me, so this is always a goal to achieve in my work. I also like a good party and every now and then I climb up a small wall and then go down again.

My name is Carmell and I work at Hide and Seek as a Trainee. During the Traineeship I will focus on several different aspects of Online Advertising while gaining as much knowledge about these subjects as possible. My HBO Business Economics and my Master in Communication Sciences provide a solid basis for this Traineeship and I am very excited to develop myself as an Online Advertising Expert at Hide and Seek!

Before working at hide and Seek I have worked at an influencer management where I already learned a lot about the social media side of Online Advertising. Furthermore, I have worked at restaurants and clubs for several years during my HBO and Masters. Nowadays, I am not working in this industry anymore but you can definitely find me at the other side of the bar when this is possible again.

I was born in Amsterdam but I have lived in a small village in Brabant for most of my life. A little more than a year ago, I moved back to Amsterdam and I really like it! One of my hobbies is music, I like to hear music playing all the time. I love to sing myself and I know almost every lyric to every song by heart. Unfortunately, I am not really into sports but I try running sometimes. Furthermore, I like to go for a drink or dinner with my friends which sometimes eventuates in going for a dance!

Hi everyone, I am Kaja! After moving around and living abroad for the last years I have now called Amsterdam home for the past year and a half. I love to travel and in my time off I love to be outside in nature such as getting lost in the mountains or exploring the underwater world. I also consider myself a foodie and I love to cook and try out new recipes, and of course share this with some great company. After working in hospitality and event management for the last couple of years I was ready for a new challenge and quickly knew I wanted to learn everything about online advertising. I wanted to work for an agency as I enjoy working together with a broad range of clients. I immediately got a great feeling with Hide and Seek due to their personal approach and the close-knit team.

Hi, my name is Sarinah! After finishing my bachelor Media studies at the University of Amsterdam I went to Italy to follow my love for culture and delicious food! I extended my studies here and enjoyed the Italian culture. Besides my passion for culture and food, I love to cook and have a great interest in new media, psychology and architecture.

During my studies I learned a lot about the way people communicate with each other and learn from each other. I think it is really interesting to think about how to reach the right audience in a personal way. Our online world is intertwined with our day to day lives and for that reason a very interesting and powerful subject.

As a trainee at Hide and Seek I get the chance to specialize in online advertising and get to work with fun clients.

All roads lead to Rome and in my case they seem to lead to Hide and Seek, where I started as a trainee in August of 2021. Born and bred in Zeeland, I moved to Belgium in 2010 to study journalism. A few years later I moved to Amsterdam and made my way into the cultural sector where I did marketing and communications, mainly in the film business; from partnerships to social media, from organizing events to writing ad copy and newsletters. Of course I taught myself the basics of online advertising, but that soon turned out to require quite the expertise. Luckily I could enlist the help of an equally thorough and lovely agency. You guessed it: I can tell you from firsthand experience how great it is to be a customer at Hide and Seek. So great in fact, that several years later I picked up the phone and asked Sabine if she’d be interested in having a chat with me over a cup of tea. From the fact that you’re reading this you probably deduced that it was a fruitful cup of tea, indeed. In my spare time you’ll find me at the movies, a thrift store or a clothing swap. Hi everybody! I’m Marlous, 25 years old and living in Utrecht. I am a recent graduate in business and completed both my bachelor's and master's degree from my own desk due to corona. This was quite tough and, therefore, I’m glad I found a job at Hide and Seek quite quickly, because here I can work (partly) at the office and start a new adventure together with my fellow trainees! I discovered many facets of business thanks to my background in business. However, I learned that I find marketing the most interesting. I like to tackle problems in an analytical way, which I do by good listening and asking the right questions. I fell for the personal approach of Hide and Seek in which they first want to get to know the customer by its roots and their small-scale, familiar family feeling. Family and friends are my number one priority and I enjoy spending time with them in the park or on the terrace with a beer or wine. I also like to play tennis, take pictures and propagate my plants. Yep, propagating plants.. but luckily I also enjoy myself perfectly at a good festival or in a pub.

Hi my name is Shinta. A born and raised ‘Limburger’ from the south of the Netherlands with a big carnival heart. After my high school, nothing could stop me anymore and I left for the ‘big’ city and now Amsterdam has stolen my heart. With my Hotel & Eventmanagement bachelor degree in my pocket I have taken a completely different path. As a people manager I work with so much joy and positive energy with this young and ambitious team. Love to think about how we can grow as a team but also on a personal level. Checking in now and then if everybody is still happy.
In my personal life I eat a lot of cheese, I always sing ‘Sweet dreams are made of cheese’. In my opinion there is never enough cheese, but enough about the cheese. On the weekends I like to cook for hours and hours and invite my friends and family for dinner. During summer you’ll probably find me at a music festival dancing with my friends. So I guess you can say food & music are a huge part of my life!

I grew up in Seville, a welcoming city in the south of Spain. The first time I came to Amsterdam I had such a connection with the city that it made me start spending my summer holidays here and return home at the end of the season. During the last year of my studies in Advertising and Graphic Design I started working in an art studio as a digital designer while also working as a freelancer helping small businesses with graphic design solutions. After a few years in the creative sector, I wanted a new chapter in my life and Amsterdam has always been a place that made me feel at home, so I decided to make it my home and go on an adventure, finding Hide and Seek just before getting to Amsterdam and since then I haven’t stop learning. When I'm not working, you can find me at an art exhibition, enjoying a nice meal with friends, or in a cosy place with live music.

Hello! My name is Julija and I come from one of the Baltic states - Lithuania. I grew up in the capital Vilnius but in 2017, the day has finally come. The day when that restless curiosity of mine along with the sound of clogs, brought by the wind from Amsterdam was too enhancing for me to resist. So here I was, another expat that Amsterdam so desperately needed! Hahaha. My interest in media and data spiked during my studies in Media and Information at the University of Amsterdam. Though realising that digital advertising is the area I want to focus on the most, I transferred to the studies of Media and Culture which I successfully finished, and with my new shiny clogs, I entered the doors of Hide and Seek… During my spare time, you can find me in a line waiting for a great gelato, dining in cafés with friends, or going down the rabbit hole in one of the independent arthouse cinemas!

Hi everyone! My name is Thom and I am 26 years old. I grew up in Amstelveen and now I live in the quiet yet lively town called Weesp. At Hide and Seek my speciality is Google Search, but my knowledge also extends to other advertising products such as Display, Shopping, Tag Manager, Email Marketing, Analytics, Facebook & Instagram and Optimize. With my extensive knowledge in the field of advertising, I am able to give my customers tailored advice. In my spare time, I am a real sports fan! For example, I have been playing hockey almost all my life (recently stopped) and I also have a season ticket at Ajax for almost 12 years now. On the weekends you can find me on the golf course and on Sundays I like to see Max Verstappen racing in F1. Besides my love for sports, it is important for me to spend enough time with family and friends, having a nice meal/drink and to do other activities!

Hello! My name is Yorne, I come from a small village called Wormer, just above Amsterdam. Recently I moved to the 'big' city where I build my life with great pleasure. Through a marketing internship for the Sports, Management & Entrepreneurship course, I became involved in the online advertising world. Then I finally found a new challenge at Hide and Seek through an old colleague. In my spare time I really enjoy having friends around me. There is therefore a good chance that there will be homemade pasta, a beer or a good glass of wine in front of us. In addition, I can be found at festivals during summer. Music is very important to me because I play the guitar and I also like to sing. My other passion is sports. I have been involved in sports since my childhood. A few years ago I worked as a personal trainer where I was allowed to guide people to become the best version of themselves. The gym is like a second home to me and I can certainly still be found there 4-6 times a week. Perhaps something more unique is that I play Australian Football. With the highlight that I am vice-captain of the Dutch national team and of course I perform this with great pride!

I’m Ido and I work at Hide and Seek since August 2022. I was born in Israel, but have since moved around quite a bit, living in Munich, Berlin, Groningen and Amsterdam. In the past I’ve worked for Facebook (Meta) as a marketing consultant, gaining loads of insights and knowledge applicable to the loving advertising agency Hide and Seek. I decided to make the move from a gigantic multinational corporation into a more boutique and smaller agency as I feel more comfortable and cared for with the small family we have here at Hide and Seek. During my Bachelors in International Business and minor in International Relations, I have learnt how businesses operate, communicate, and benefit off each other. These are all skills I am glad to bring with me to Hide and Seek and am looking forward to developing them further. When I’m not working, you’ll find me DJ’ing at house parties, going to festivals or eating some great food with great company.
